Would you like your new members to renew at a 21% higher rate than they do today? The answer may be to keep in touch with e-mail. In a study of all members at Minnesota Public Radio who were to renew in a six month period of time, it was discovered that new members who provided their e-mail address at sign-up renewed at a 21% higher rate than those who did not.
Minnesota Public Radio sends two member-only e-mails per month. They include items such as schedule and benefit updates, upcoming events, ticket giveaways and special programming. It seems that keeping in touch regularly helps renew members.
