Marketplace is a 30-minute, early-evening program that airs weekdays on more than 350 public radio stations nationwide. It is heard each week by more than 4.8 million listeners , an upscale, intellectually curious group comprised of business people, private investors and others who recognize the importance of the global marketplace. Marketplace is heard in all of the top 50 markets in the United States. The Marketplace audience is 55% male and 45% female. The median age of the audience is 51, and 58% of listeners are between the ages of 25-54. Listeners are well-educated as 74% of the audience has a college degree or more. Relative to income, 58% earn $75,000 or more per year.
